About The Build

The newly built 5000 square foot cottage replaces a century cottage that originally sat on the property, and as a reminder of the history of the land, wall cladding from the original cottage was salvaged from the tear-down, and repurposed in the new build as unique ceiling features; preserving history in the evolution and modernization of the property for years to come.

No matter where you look in this cottage you will find interesting details; you will notice a herring bone theme in corners instead of mitre cuts, offering a distinctive interlocking pattern that adds a timeless depth to the room. Finely detailed coffered and vaulted ceiling features create an elegant focus, and were built using the repurposed boards from the original century cottage; a beautiful personal touch to carry on the legacy of this Clear Lake oasis.
